Tonight, my girlfriend and I went to see 'The Book Of Eli' at the local cinema because I collect SCENE points and that gets me free movie stuff! So I had enough points so that we could go for free which was nice. We get there and because the movie has been out for so long already, NO ONE else occupied the theatre. It was nice to have the entire room to ourselves. About 20 minutes in, a green laser line appeared on the right of the screen and started scrolling back and forth. After 15 minutes I got up and went to inquire about this to the staff. The manager emerged from her office and informed me that the reel was in fact scratched and that it's very likely to continue throughout the rest of the movie. She proceeded to offer me complimentary passes and invited me to finish watching the movie. The best part was after sitting back down with my free passes in my pocket, the green line disappeared for the rest of the movie. The ending was AMAZING! Just a very cool way to end things. After the movie as we were about to leave, the usher asked us if we would like to take home a rather large bag of leftover popcorn. Naturally we said yes. What a great date night!
